What is OCR Text Recognition?
OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is a technology that extracts text from images as editable text. This tool uses the Tesseract.js engine, running entirely in your browser with no software installation required. Images are never uploaded to any server, ensuring your privacy and data security.
How to Use
Three ways to import an image: 1) Press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac) to paste a screenshot directly; 2) Drag and drop an image file onto the upload area; 3) Click the upload area to select a file. Choose the recognition language and click "Start Recognition". Once complete, you can copy or download the result text.
FAQ
How accurate is the OCR recognition?
For clear printed text, Chinese and English recognition accuracy can exceed 95%. Handwriting and blurry images will have lower accuracy. We recommend using clear screenshots or photos for best results.
What image formats are supported?
All image formats that browsers can render are supported, including JPG, PNG, BMP, WebP, GIF, and more. You can also paste screenshots directly with Ctrl+V.
Are images uploaded to a server?
No. All OCR processing is done locally in your browser using the Tesseract.js engine. Images are never uploaded to any server.
